What Guardian Kids build

Between 8 and 12, kids start deciding who they are. This program gives them proof that hard work pays off.

  • Real self-defense. Boxing, kicks, blocks and escapes, with one clear rule: skills are for safety.
  • Goal setting. Stripes and belts give kids a target, a plan and the feeling of reaching it.
  • Calm under pressure. Partner drills and belt tests teach kids to breathe and perform when someone is watching.
  • Leadership. Experienced students lead warm ups and help newer classmates find their footing.

What happens in a Guardian Kids class?

Each class opens with a warm up for safety, moves into technique for that student's year, then puts it to work with partners or pads. The last few minutes come back to the quarter's character theme, with real examples from school and home.

The curriculum is organized by year, from fundamentals through advanced combinations, with boxing, kicking, defense and fitness requirements at every level. Students who earn every stripe are invited to test each quarter.
